The Habbo development team is expanding!
HELLO, community. I’ve got some great news for you: the Habbo dev team is expanding with four new additions to the team! The extra resources will really help us to improve and flesh out the Modern client this year.
As well as two new server developers, we’ve also taken on a game producer and what’s known as a scrum master. I’ve gone into a bit of detail about exactly what each person will be doing:
- Server developers: Daxm- and zygomathicus will be working with the client developers on new Modern client features, while also implementing ones that already exist on Classic. Server developers work primarily with our databases and how they interact with the game itself.
- Scrum master: cool_boy_007 will basically ensure that the wider Habbo dev team follows what is known as a ‘scrum framework’ when they are working on the game. Without getting into too much detail, scrum is a method of software development we follow here at Sulake. It offers a way to connect multiple teams who need to work together to deliver complex solutions.
- Game producer: George_C will be overseeing the entire team and the entire development of Habbo. They’re in charge of ensuring deadlines are met, communication inside the team and between different parts of the team are good, and that high quality is sustained in development.
