It’s time to get Habbo-rich
Hello little capitalists,
It’s been a while since we’ve had a big Wired expansion, but today you need to look no further. It’s time to reveal an update that will revolutionize the game once more.
Wired! Wired! Wi- HOLD ON! 🤚 Before we talk about Wired, there’s a whole portion of this update that has nothing to do with Wired, which will be a huge deal for the wider community! So the Wired enthusiasts need to hold their horses.
Chests!
Next week we will release a big one: Chests! More precisely: Furni Chests & Credit Chests!
So.. What are they?
Chests can be used as a furni/credits storage container.
Some use cases for Chests include:
- Storage & organization
- There are thousands and thousands of furni types in Habbo, but no real way to organize them. Storage rooms are a pain! Chests are a very fast & convenient way to organize your possessions.
- Common inventories
- Agencies, game hosts, fansites, and other Habbo organizations could benefit from a shared inventory management system that can be accessed by Habbos with the right permissions. Chests offer the solution!
- Donation boxes
- Chests can be inspected by everyone, and can optionally act as a donation box. Ideal if you want to surprise someone!
- Credit shops
- Be gone with all the room teleporters and item placements, organize what you have for sale in CHESTS! Fast and convenient. In the open state of the Chest, it’ll preview the items that are inside
- Just to place in a room because they look cool 😎
- Furni Chests have the first custom visualization (you don’t need to know what that is, it’s like a tech-thing) in over 10 years in Habbo
- WIRE
- Not yet, you’re not ready yet 😒🥱🤷♂️🤷♀️
But there is so much more! They come with a lot of personalization settings (such as a Chest name & description), a transaction history, notification settings, storage count indicators in your inventory, … way too much to include in this article!
FREE Starter Chest!
That is why we’re giving you a FREE STARTER CHEST! When Chests release next week, you’ll be able to claim one for free. It’ll be your chance to find out just what kinds of things a Chest can do!
The Starter Chest is more limited in capacity, and can’t be upgraded. It also can’t be upgraded to be used with Wire-....... NOT YET.
Mini Q&A
Q. Can I use a Chest to store my Bonnie Blonde poster?
A. Yes! In fact you can store thousands of em!
Q. That is all I needed to know. I am sold.
Wi-WiWIWIWiWIRED!
The main goal for this update was to integrate payment and rewarding inside player-created rooms. Chests are a tool to achieve this – they are the missing link between the Habbo economy and your Wired setup!
As such, you can upgrade your Chest to let it become a Wired Chest. Once this is done, the Chest’s UI, settings, permissions and even the furni design will change!
But most of all, your Chest can be used with Wired now. Payments, rewards, or even automated trades.. You name it!
The following Wired boxes will be released in 3 parts after Chests have released. Here’s a quick overview!
Part 1 - Simple Wired integrations
The first part focuses on rewarding Habbos with furni or credits from a Chest, along with some basic Wired integrations.
This release contains the following furni:
- WIRED Effect: Give Currency From Chest
- WIRED Effect: Give Furni From Chest
- WIRED Condition: Chest Has X Items
- WIRED Condition: Chest Contains Furni Type
- WIRED Scanner Add-on: Chest Furni of Type
Additionally, we are also releasing “WIRED Text Add-on: Furni name placeholder” as a utility Wired box.
Part 2 - Contracts: Payments, rewards & trades
Contracts are a new type of furni that specify the contents of a transaction that needs to be made with Wired.
For example, if the entry to your game should cost the Habbo 2 ducks, you’d use a Payment Contract, open it up, and configure 2 ducks. Then you would initiate the transaction with Wired, and we’re all finished!
This release contains the following furni:
- WIRED Contract: Payment Contract
- WIRED Contract: Trade Contract
- WIRED Contract: Reward Contract
- WIRED Effect: Initiate Transaction
- WIRED Effect: Cancel Transaction
- WIRED Trigger: Transaction Completed
- WIRED Trigger: Transaction Failed
As a third, minor release, we’ll release an advanced type of contract named “WIRED Add-on: Custom Contract”. In contrast to the other contracts, this is actually a Wired box, making it more dynamic in usage!
A final word
A single article is not enough to describe all the things you’ll be able to do with this expansion of the game. But I hope it may offer you a nice overview!
If you’re eager to learn more about the Wired project, ask for help from other Wired creators, or are just interested in following the updates - feel free to join our Wired Discord server! I’m sure there will be a lot of questions coming in – I’ll make sure they’ll be answered.
This update is a token of recognition to all the players who have been the driving force behind Habbo’s success, over many many years. We want to empower our creators even more, and want you to get rewarded for your efforts. At the same time, we want it to be easier for the players to get rewarded as well!
All the systems involved in Wired Transactions deliberately follow the same principles as normal trading, so there is no custom tax introduction.
We’re hoping you’re just as excited as we are for the creations we’ll see popping off in the game.
There’s actually more!
We’re also introducing some new achievements along with these releases, and have a surprise for you!
We’re releasing the following achievements:
- Gamer Paycheck
- For earning X credits by playing games created by Habbos.
- Organize your stuff
- For using X Chests as furni storage inside a room.
- Money Printer
- For creating a game where users have paid credits to play or get an advantage X times.
And as a final surprise…. We’re reintroducing Staff picked rooms, which is arguably the most premium achievement we have!
Staff-picked rooms automatically end up on the front page of the Navigator, which we intend to use to give some visibility to the most epic rooms using Wired Transactions!
Enjoy 😎
