Data from the recent LTD sale

Hey, Habbos. Quite a few of you have been commenting on how quickly the LTD sold out on Monday, and that this showed the introduction of 10 diamonds didn’t really work.

Actually, the opposite is true. After the sale, the team here dug into the data and found the diamond measure had a real effect on the use of bots. Let's take a look at the data from the Spanish hotel as an example. 

The data:

With the sale of the Rainbow Boa in July, 480 LTDs were bought, but only by 122 Habbos. Also, significantly, the vast majority of those 122 buyers were recognisable as bots from the name of the avatar: 86Fw9gQG, 9Faa1vER, etc.

With Monday’s Gleaming Luxury Car, we saw a big, positive change: 360 LTDs were bought by 247 Habbos. Importantly, the Habbos that got an LTD didn’t have obvious, bot-like names like they did previously.

Going forward:

There were still some Habbos that managed to get more of the cars than they really should have done, so we’ve got more work to do.

We’re looking at other ways to prevent the unfair purchasing of LTDs, and our community team will continue to deal with the use of bots according to the Habbo Way.
