The Best Spot in the Neighbourhood!
Every neighbourhood has that one special spot – the place where memories happen, friends meet up, or you just feel at home. Maybe it’s a park bench, a graffiti-splashed alley, or the café that somehow always runs out of your favourite pumpkin spice lattes.
For this room building competition, we’re asking you to bring that vibe into Habbo Hotel: Origins. Create your favourite urban corner of the neighbourhood, pixel by pixel, and show us what makes it special. Big or small, gritty or cosy… we can’t wait to see what you come up with!!
Some examples of the type of spot this could be:
- Maybe it’s a cosy coffee shop tucked between two buildings.
- A graffiti-splashed alleyway where street artists leave their mark.
- An abandoned local playground or park bench where everyone gathers.
- A night market or food truck spot buzzing with life and good food.
- Even a hidden, public rooftop garden you’ve always loved.
Whether it’s colourful, quiet, gritty, or green, we want to see the spots that give your neighbourhood its charm.
Bring your favourite corner to life with creativity, detail, and just a sprinkle of Habbo magic. Show the community what makes your street stand out!
📝 Rules and information to consider for the building
Theme: Build a special urban spot. Think about what sort of cool places we can find in a city.
What we will be looking for while judging?
- Creative take on the brief. Keep it urban – something that feels like it’s carved out of a real city. Think: a picturesque alleyway, a hidden corner only locals know about, or even an abandoned spot that’s been hilariously (or cleverly) repurposed. The key is that it needs to belong on a street. And just a tip from us judges: creative and funny spins on the brief? They usually land really well. So don’t be afraid to get cheeky with it.
- Clever use of furni. Building in Habbo Hotel: Origins takes patience, effort, and a pretty sharp creative eye. And here’s the twist: the Hotel doesn’t have a massive item pool just yet. But that’s not a drawback, it’s an opportunity. Use it to your advantage. Think outside the box. Flip, rotate, and repurpose furni in ways nobody else would expect. Sometimes the best builds come from making the least obvious items shine. If you want your room to stand out, now’s the time to get scrappy, clever, and a little bit weird with your designs. Trust us, the community notices when someone pushes the limits.
- Technical skill. Stacking furni isn’t required, but it can make your build really pop. If you’ve got the skills, use them to take your design to the next level.
Further information and rules:
- 👉 Scripting tools are not allowed, Habbos 👈 If you’re caught using scripting tools, you will be disqualified immediately. You may even be blacklisted in future competitions if you use scripting tools, so DO NOT RISK IT!
- Worried someone’s gonna swipe your build idea and speedrun it before you? We get it 👀 Upload your room pic to something like Imgur instead of a social media site like X, it’s way harder to find that way. And yep, Origins Staff can still enter even if your room’s locked or hidden, so maybe keep it locked if you’re in “build genius” mode and you’ve got secret admirers / Habbos that can’t build 🔒
📤 How to enter
- Name your room ‘The Best Spot in the Neighbourhood’. If the name is too long to fit the room name space, don’t worry! We will be able to find the room anyways, just leave what fits there.
- Take a screenshot, and if you want, a screen recording of your room. Make sure to include the FULL room in your screenshot so that the white text showing the room name and owner is visible in the bottom left hand corner.
- Upload it to a social media platform like X, or an image sharing site like Imgur. It’s vitally important that we (Origins Staff) can view the image without needing to create an account or log into a third party site 👍
- Put the link and your avatar name in this Google Form between now and 7am Habbo Time on September 29th.
