Pixels and Chaos: a Street Art competition
Street art always gives a city a fresh, cutting-edge feel. It can be political, social, clever, or even funny. Every artist brings their own unique style. Whatever the approach, street art catches our attention, makes us laugh, and often makes us reflect on important issues. That’s the inspiration behind this competition!
Some artists use paint, spray cans, or other traditional materials, while others work with trash or objects to create amazing 3D pieces. So… what if we combined both ideas into one big pixel art competition?
What do you need to do?
Design Challenge: Create a piece of street art that’s half pixel art and half furni collage.
Think of it like those social media artworks where an artist uses two different techniques in one drawing, or when makeup artists design two different looks on each half of their face. That’s exactly the kind of split-style creativity we’re looking for!
Here’s an image of some real street art to illustrate what we want to see from you in this competition:

Rules and information to consider for the competition
Theme: You decide the theme! Draw inspiration from street art in your local area, something you’ve seen online, Habbo Hotel: Origins itself, or anything else you love… the sky’s the limit!
What to create: An image split into two halves – one side in Habbo Hotel: Origins-style pixel art, the other as a digital furni image collage. You can divide it left / right, top / bottom, or even diagonally across the corners.
Further information about how to create your participation:
- This is an individual competition. Only one entry is allowed per avatar.
- This is a pixel art competition. Your entry needs to be done digitally. Free hand drawings and paintings will not be accepted.
- The Pixel Art half needs to have a Habbo Hotel: Origins aesthetic. This means it should look like something that could be inside of the game or belongs inside Habbo Hotel: Origins.
- The Furni Collage half needs to be created ONLY using released Habbo Hotel: Origins furni images. You should not add coloured backgrounds, or design elements like lines, shapes or anything of the sorts. The use of masks is also not allowed. Please just arrange images of furni on a page to do your Furni Collage part. If you need a circle, arrange the images to create the circle, if you need a black line, arrange some pods, for example, and create a line. Don’t worry about scaling. You can resize and scale the furni however you like, just make sure the final images remain at a high resolution.
- You cannot use AI. Any entry suspected to have been created with AI of any sort will be disqualified immediately!
- To prove you have done the image, it’s recommended, although not required, that you record your screen while you create your artwork, or take “work in progress” screenshots / photos and include them in your finalised, uploaded submission.
What we will be looking for while judging?
- Creative take on the brief. Get inspired and make it really special! Make us laugh, or cry or throw some light to a social problem, but don’t make us indifferent. That’s what art is about!
- Pixel Art skills. Show off all your artistic talent, your creativity and your usage of Habbo Hotel: Origins furni to creatively show us your chosen theme for your creation.
- The quality of the artwork: technical, artistic skill matters too.
How to enter
- Create your image following all the competition’s rules that are listed above.
- Upload it to a social media platform like X, or an image sharing site like Imgur. It’s vitally important that we (Habbo Hotel: Origins Staff) can view the image without needing to create an account or log into a third party site 👍
