Japanese Restaurant Room building competition!
Sharpen those design skills and roll out your creativity – it's time to build the ultimate Japanese sushi restaurant! From bamboo walls to sushi bars and cozy tatami corners, we want to see your dream dining spot come to life.
Serve up style, ambience, and a splash of wasabi. Make it tasty, make it aesthetic, and most of all... make it HABBO! 🏯
📝 Goal of the building
Build the ultimate Japanese sushi restaurant.
You can show a bit of the exterior, but the main focus should be on the inside of the restaurant – its ambiance and the food.
📤 How to enter
- Name your room ‘My Japanese Sushi Restaurant’.
- Take a screenshot, and if you want, a screen recording of your room. Make sure to include the FULL room in your screenshot so that the white text showing the room name and owner is visible in the bottom left hand corner.
- Upload it to a social media platform like X, or an image sharing site like Imgur. It’s vitally important that we (Origins Staff) can view the image without needing to create an account or log into a third party site 👍
- Put the link and your avatar name in this Google Form between now and 8am BST (00:00 PST) on July 29th.
🧑⚖️ Judging
We’ll be judging the competition on your:
- Creative take on the brief. Be creative in choosing how you’ll convey the Japanese Sushi Restaurant theme for your room and the building.
- Comedic value. Will you somehow make your room funny, or incorporate IRL references, Habbo references, or memes somehow? This could make your room stand out!
- Innovative use of furni. Origins is still a pretty new game with a relatively small number of items available. Use this to your advantage by incorporating furni in innovative ways to make your room stand out from the rest.
- Technical skill. Stacking furni isn’t required, but it can often really help your room match specific themes.
🛑 Further information and rules:
- Scripting tools are not allowed. If you’re caught using scripting tools, you will be disqualified immediately. You may even be blacklisted in future competitions if you use scripting tools, so DO NOT RISK IT!
- If you’re worried about people stealing your build ideas, please upload the picture of your room to a file sharing site like Imgur instead of a social media profile. This makes it much harder to discover. Also, staff can enter your room regardless of whether or not it’s visible in the Navigator, or whether it’s locked or not. So keep it locked if you want to keep your ideas to yourself!

- 1st place: that week’s rare, 500 credits, Gold Hammer Trophy
- 2nd place: that week’s rare, 400 credits, Silver Hammer Trophy
- 3rd place: that week’s rare, 300 credits, Bronze Hammer Trophy
- 4th place: that week’s rare, 200 credits
- 5th place: that week’s rare, 100 credits
The top 20 entries will get a badge (pictured to the right, with the hammers).
