Battle Ball Season 1 - Important Update

Hello Habbos!

Last week, we proudly shared the results of Battle Ball Season 1. Since that announcement, two important issues have come to our attention, which we want to address transparently and fairly.

Firstly, we identified a mathematical issue in the decay calculations used for player scores. This unintended bug affected players who joined later in the tournament, and unfairly applied decay to their score before they had even started playing, this was not intentional. Correcting this calculation slightly alters the leaderboard and changes our winners. We sincerely apologize for this oversight and deeply appreciate you all for helping to identify this issue.

Additionally, we've received feedback regarding multiple leaderboard placements by the same users. While our initial communication did not explicitly restrict using alternative accounts or "smurfs," we did mention concerns regarding unfair play, win-trading, and other practices that undermine fair competition. Upon review and careful consideration of community feedback, we've recognized the need to ensure fairness and broader participation.

Therefore, we've adjusted our prize allocation policy to prevent excessive multiple wins by individual users. It is important to clarify that this adjustment does not necessarily imply disqualification or wrongdoing by any individual player but is intended to uphold the fairness and integrity of the competition.

As we have yet to distribute the prizes, no players have been negatively impacted by these corrections. To recognize the effort of those players affected by the adjusted leaderboard, we will provide additional prizes (in the way of tickets and stamps) to those who appeared on the original leaderboard but have now fallen off of the leaderboard due to the corrected calculations.
