InfoBus poll: Content Creator prizes

Over the past few months, we've been redesigning the Creator Community Battle Pass, which was paused last October. This new version will reset every month and has up to five social media platform-specific “bounties” that content creators can complete every month. For example: get 3k views on X, get 200 views on Twitch, and so on.

As well as each bounty earning content creators up to 50 credits each, bounties also earn them one of five new, non-tradable trophies on a monthly basis in either Habbo Hotel: Origins OR Habbo. Please note that these prizes are subject to change in both Origins and Habbo.

Given that these trophies are going to be pretty hard to obtain, and given we’re also distributing credits – albeit in quite limited amounts – we want to get explicit approval from the community before adding them to Habbo Hotel: Origins.

The question we’ll ask you to answer in the InfoBus this coming Monday will be: 

Shall we add content creator battle pass prizes as shown in the article?

ℹ️ Why you should approve this

Incentivising the creation of social media content helps to increase Origins’ visibility, which can help to make the hotel busier. It also helps with community building outside of the Hotel. More specific reasons can be found below:

• The trophies are non-tradable, so cannot affect the Origins economy and don’t impact traders.
• The credit prizes will be given out in small amounts to a small number of players, so are unlikely to have much of an effect on the economy.
• Having more meaningful rewards could: 
  • Encourage players to make social media content about Habbo and Habbo Hotel: Origins who otherwise wouldn’t.
  • Encourage existing content creators to hone their skills and create better performing content.
• Better rewards could also help to re-engage some of the bigger content creators who joined the Creator Community in mid 2024, but have more recently stopped creating Habbo and Origins social media content.

While we aren’t planning to open up applications to the wider player base, we are on the look out for existing social media content creators to invite to the Creator Community. So, if you’re keen on creating Habbo and Origins-themed social media content, you’ve got a good chance of obtaining these prizes. Just keep tagging us on X!

ℹ️ Important info

• We won’t alter the Creator Community Battle Pass prizes or structure due to prior work completed and the benefits we anticipate for Habbo, regardless of any feedback we receive. If not supported, the Battle Pass will proceed without Origins.
• In order to pass, InfoBus polls need 70% of global votes to be YES. 
• You can only vote if you are a HC member. 
• You must enter the InfoBus in the InfoBus Park public room to vote. 
• The poll will be open for a week.
