Easter furni design competition!
Hellooooooo Origins community 👋
Later this month, we’re hosting a community challenge in the Hotel and we want you to design the prize for it.
Your task is to create an Easter-themed furni that we’ll give out as the reward for our upcoming community challenge.
We cannot WAIT to see what amazing furni designs you come up with 🧑🎨
🛑 Design guidelines and the rules (please, please read thoroughly!)
IMPORTANT: You MUST use Imgur to submit your design. This is a pixel art competition and your submissions are likely to include multiple images that cannot be compressed or stretched. Imgur doesn’t compress or stretch images, and allows you to include multiple images in one post. You can also ensure your submissions are hidden from public view, which is helpful to avoid plagiarism.
Note that by submitting on Imgur, you are also automatically approving for us to link to your design from our website for others to see if you place in the top 20.
Rules:
- Submissions must include the big version of the furni, with an optional submission of the small size for bigger Origins rooms. Submitting the small size does not increase your chances of winning over entries without one.
- Your design must be pixel drawn, entirely your own work, and not AI generated.
- Your design must respect the Habbo Way (no offensive or inappropriate imagery).
Design guidelines:
- The furni size should be one tile.
- If your furni looks different when it’s rotated, for example showing the back of a chair, you must draw it from both sides and upload both images to your Imgur post.
- If your furni has different states, you’ll need to draw them and add them to your Imgur post.

- Designing from both sides: While flipping your design horizontally works in most cases, take a look at the Plasto chair example to see why this doesn’t always apply with chairs.
- To-scale, isometric grids: Use these as a guide to accurately scale your designs, with separate grids for big and small furni.
🧑⚖️ Judging
Stronghandle, a member of the art team, will be judging this furni design competition (cheers Stronghandle!) He’ll be judging your entries based on:
- The quality of the artwork: Technical, artistic skill matters a great deal in this task.
- Your creative approach: How will you make your furni stand out from the rest? Will you work an IRL reference or meme into it somehow? We’re looking for out of the box thinking!
- Its relevance to Habbo: Will you work in any Habbo lore to your design? How will you make your furni relevant to the Habbo Hotel brand?
- Sense of humour. Making your design funny in some way could make your design stand out.
We reserve the right to make edits to the winning furni to ensure it works in game and meets our design standards as well as it can do.
📤 How to submit
Upload all versions of your furni to Imgur (you must use Imgur when submitting your entries!) Then, fill in this global Google Form before 8am BST (12am PDT) on April 9th.
We advise you to keep your furni designs off other social media platforms like X until after the submission deadline, so that there is less chance of your work being stolen and submitted under a different name.
Please note that by participating in this competition, you fully accept that your furni may be used inside Habbo Hotel: Origins.

- 1st prize: Typewriter, 1000 credits, and your item added to all three of the Origins hotels as this month's community challenge reward.
- 2nd: Typewriter, 900 credits
- 3rd: Typewriter, 800 credits
- 4th: Typewriter, 700 credits
- 5th: Typewriter, 600 credits
- 6th: Typewriter, 500 credits
- 7th: Typewriter, 400 credits
- 8th: Typewriter, 300 credits
- 9th: Typewriter, 200 credits
- 10th: Typewriter, 100 credits
The top 20 entries will get the week’s rare and the badge pictured to the right next to the Typewriter!
Please note that the prizes listed above are for all three hotels as this is a global competition.
