💘 Trax Mixdown: Valentines edition!
Valentines is on the way, Habbos! You may have already noticed, but we just added Valentines Trax CDs to the Trax section of the Catalogue 💿
To mark the occasion, and to give you another chance to win our special Mixdown plaques, we’re running another TRAX MIXDOWN COMPETITION.
📝 The competition brief and rules
It’s at this time of the year that Cupid works overtime. If you want his help in finding that perfect e-date, you'll need to get creative. What better way to do it than singing him a song over an INSANE Trax beat? (There’s probably quite a few ways, but hey we have some Mixdown Plaques to give out lol.)
The rules:
- Compose your song using a Trax Machine and then record yourself singing over it.
- You can use any Trax CDs to compose the song, you do not have to use Valentines Trax.
- The use of AI services in this competition is allowed, including to write and sing the lyrics.
- Please DO NOT use lyrics from existing songs.
- Your song can be a maximum of 30 seconds long.
🧑⚖️ Judging
We’ll be judging entries on:
- How smart, clever, and funny your lyrics are. Can you imagine how many requests this little guy receives this time of the year? You should aim to make him (us) laugh.
- Inclusion of Habbo lore, or references. This is, after all, an Origins competition. Your lyrics should be somewhat related to Habbo Hotel: Origins.
- Quality of the music production. This includes both your Trax composition skills and the lyrics. The more professional it sounds, the better!
📤 How to submit
You’ll need to use software to record both the Trax song you compose, and yourself singing over it. When you have your music file, you should upload it to a social media platform like X, or a music sharing site like Soundcloud. It’s vitally important that we (Origins Staff) can play your song without needing to create an account or log into a third party site 👍
Put the link and your avatar name in this Google Form between now and 8am GMT (00:00 PST) on 17/02.
🏆 Prizes:
- 1st Place: Gold Plaque, 500 credits
- 2nd Place: Silver Plaque, 400 credits
- 3rd Place: Bronze Plaque, 300 credits
The top 10 entries will get 200 credits and a new Trax Mixdown badge (pictured right, with the plaques).
