Valentines room building competition WINNERS
Seriously: the quality of the entries gets better every time we run one of these competitions. The stacking, choice of furni and choice of themes in this one was fantastic. You really didn't hold back and took advantage of the broader brief this time!
Needless to say it was a difficult task to judge this. We had more entries than we had last time which is great to see, too. Thanks to everyone that entered, and special thanks to everyone that shared their entries on social media. We love it when others can see the creativity of this community!
Top 5
1. Frenkie // The detail, technical skill and choice of setting combined to make this an overall winner. In terms of "dates", Venice on Valentines Day is up there as the top date destinations ever, we thought. Frenkie's really did it justice, congratulations to them!

2. Folklore // Lots of little details stood out for us here – the decision to actually put an actual jungle-themed movie behind the screen (Holiday Romance included), the construction of the car (Cola Machines included), and the football to represent the moon. **Chefs kiss**, WD Folklore.

3. Dinosaurio // Dinosaurio's room was clever in that it gives the impression you are actually up in the clouds, and that the hot air balloon is way up above the ground. The small houses, use of Petal Patches and bonsais to convey woodland and fields, the skyscrapers to the left and the miniature scale Greek Temple-type construction to the right gave a sense of scale to this build. Also, the Giant Heart hot air balloon was a fun addition ❤️

4. Brunismo // The bold colours Brunismo used really made this stand out. Then, the construction and technique used to create the bridge felt very accomplished. It's quite difficult to give a sense of depth and height in Origins, but Brunismo did a great job here. It also felt like a great location choice, and we LOVE the lighthouse!

5. Spanish // The best thing about this build was the setting and how it was conveyed. As well as being pretty unique in terms of setting choice (at least a couple of members of the team remember going bowling when we were teenagers) this build did a great job at actually conveying that it was a bowling alley. The addition of the snooker tables and the use of furni to make it feel "arcadey" secured this entry a place in the top 5. Well done!

15 Runners up (in no particular order)
1ove // The stacking here is ON POINT. Impressive, with a good choice of setting, too 🌸

Ancient // The number of TVs made this feel faintly dystopian at first with all the mini TV / surveillance screens. But we immediately looked to the left and realised it is definitely a cinema. A well executed build 👏

chicka // Secret garden dates are cool, and this garden / waterfall build was done well.

Christopher // Dating on a spaceship was something we'd never heard of before, but it makes complete sense (if you're a millionaire).

Dovak // The detail and setting on this build was fantastic. We were getting urban garden in Seoul, Beijing, or Tokyo from this.

groot // This was so well done! Loved the idea of having a date on a ship and the colours worked really well here.

jxlie // We loved how this was put together! The boat was convincing and we liked the use of wooden panelling to give a Venetian vibe to this.

Oh! // A date at the Coliseum. Great shout to do this! Executed well and an interesting choice.

Phonno // We loved the church and romantic garden on this entry.

Priestly // This was very cool. We loved the theme park Priestly made. Particularly clever was the fairground ride with the two bunnies at the top 🎪

Ridicule // This was very clever. Creating a heart-shaped room with a clear, visual divide really hit well with the team.

Santine // This felt well executed and we loved that the hot air balloon ride was a trip to the jungle. Seemed quite out there for a date, which we liked.

Skeffridge // This extemely detailed build really wowed us. Sometimes it's nice to meet in an urban location for a picnic!

sumya // The detail on this build was fantastic. The room felt super cosy!

tit // Again, the detail here was spectacular. The skyscrapers looked great and there were other small details where the stacking and choice of furni really stood out. Great build from tit!
