Participate in the Habbo Town Hall

We're keen to build on the transparency and insight provided by our Habbo dev update threads by inviting you all to ask questions about the game!

Head on over to X and reply to this post with your questions about Habbo before the end of Sunday.

On Monday, we’ll gather your questions and start answering them with help from different members of the Habbo team.

ℹ️ Guidance and further information

• You can post your questions in your own language, but please note that the people reading will be using X’s inbuilt translator tool to see what you have written. Rarely, we’ve found that critical information can be lost in translation, so please bear that in mind if you are not posting your questions in English. Note that we will always reply to your questions in English.

• Given a lot of your questions will need input from other members of the team, we won't be answering these questions as they come in, on a real time basis. They'll be answered at some point next week, hopefully within the first half of the week.

• On Monday morning, we will stop collecting community questions and submit any that were gathered over the weekend to the team for review, if needed.

• We'll be summarising all of the questions and answers and putting them in an article for the rest of the community to see. It could take us some time to get this translated for all hotels, however. We'll also likely have to summarise the main points instead of translating everything literally so that the article is not too long, and is easy enough to digest.

• X's algorithm works in mysterious ways, which means we cannot guarantee we'll see (and answer) all of the questions you post. We advise that you not only reply to the post, but also include @Habbo in the caption.

• We also can't guarantee we can answer ALL questions, as some may be too difficult or sensitive to answer.

• If you ask a question that's already been answered, we'll either paste the response we gave to the player that asked it first, or hope that you either keep track of what we're sending as replies, or read the summary article after the Town Hall has finished.

💬 Why are you running this on social media?

One of the benefits of running this sort of activity on social media is that anything posted there is very easily shareable, and is visible to everyone. This helps transparency and accountability, because the answers we give can be referred back to and shared in the future.

Additionally, being able to see the number of likes and reposts questions and answers get helps us to gauge which particular issues are important to our players at the time.

One other major benefit of running this on social media is that using inbuilt language translation tools, the content is accessible to anyone, no matter which hotel you play on.

Combined with a summary on our website, we feel that currently this is the most efficient way to run the Habbo Town Hall. This may, however, change in the future.
