We’re pausing the Creator Community Battle Pass

Back in June, we launched a Battle Pass for content creators with an agency called KGeN. While it’s been successful in some ways, overall it hasn’t had the effect we wanted it to have. 

After discussions within the Habbo team, we’ve taken the decision to pause the Battle Pass indefinitely, effective immediately. Any pending prizes will be distributed today, after which social media content from content creators will not be tracked, nor any more prizes given. We’re also parting ways with KGeN.

What happens to the prizes I unlocked?

All members of the Creator Community will be allowed to keep the perks and prizes they unlocked while the Battle Pass was active. Note that the exclusive perks – for example the badges – may still be earnable in the future if and when we decide to relaunch the Battle Pass.

What will happen to the members of the Creator Community?

While the Battle Pass will be paused, we don’t see a need to stop communicating with the group of active creators we have. We’ll continue to provide exclusive content for them to share on their channels in the member-only Habbo Collectibles Discord channels KGeN set up.

Looking forward

With the saved time and resources by pausing the Battle Pass, in the short to medium term we can look for other ways to promote Habbo and Habbo Hotel: Origins to new audiences.

In the long term, we’d like to redesign the Battle Pass so that the rewards are more meaningful and more valuable. We aim to keep the Creator Community open for applications at all times, allowing content creators to apply whenever they choose.
