The return of Monster Plants!
So the number one most important point: if you value the lives of your (currently disabled) Monster Plants, please for the love of Frank get ready to look after them 🙏 This is because on Monday we’ll be unfreezing them and we’ll be activating all related achievements!

The Botanical Bonanza Breeding Challenge!
📆 At around 11am UTC on Monday August 14th, we’re launching a massive community challenge to find the best Monster Plant breeders in each hotel! 🧬 The challenge will last until 11am UTC on Friday August 18th.
Every time you successfully breed one of your mature Monster Plants, you get points. The rarer the Monster Plant, the more points you get, and the higher you’ll rank in the community challenge.
🏆 Prizes per rank are as follows:
- 1st to 5th place: Gold Monster Plant Breeder Trophy (LTD). Numbers will be distributed according to rank. E.g. rank 1 will get no. 1, rank 2 will get no. 2, and so on.
- 6th to 25th place: Silver Monster Plant Breeder Trophy (LTD). Similar to the gold trophy, numbers will be assigned based on rank. Rank 6 will get no. 1, rank 7 no. 2, and so on.
- 26th to 50th place: new Monster Plant-themed room bundle, including an exclusive badge.
Everyone who gets at least one community challenge point will get a participation badge. The badges and prizes will all be distributed after the Botanical Bonanza breeding challenge finishes!
The Monster Plant gift calendar
For five days starting this coming Monday, every day you’ll be able to claim a free Monster Plant gift from a special calendar we’re launching! Potential gifts include seeds and various potions 🧪
You’ll be able to access the calendar from the Hotel view in the Classic client and the earnings window in the Modern client.
Please note that to limit the impact of alt account farming on the breeding challenge and the economy more widely, we’ve made all calendar gifts non-tradable.

The Classic client
In the Modern client's initial development, we froze Monster Plants items due to incompatibility issues. After lengthy discussions within the team and a fresh look at long term client usage data, we’re now taking a slightly different approach to the Classic client, and looking at ways we can make the Habbo experience more engaging by re-enabling old features that were disabled for the same reason as Monster Plants were.
🔧 It’s crucial to emphasise that our primary focus is still on the Modern client, and that our development resources will continue to be dedicated to its long-term improvement.
