Helloo artists! Ah, it feels good to see the sun this month in the eco-world campaign. What can you tell us about the theme and what it means?
Sparkaro: The theme is a continuation of the ‘Sunlight City’ campaign we released back in 2019, this time with a focus on easter and bunnies! It’s based on
the sci-fi subgenre, ‘Solarpunk’. Solarpunk is all about envisioning a world where technology is powered by renewable energy, especially solar power, and a world where people are more at one with nature.
Kukuyit: We wanted Habbos to take time to relax in nature as spring approaches! We also wanted to deliver the traditional Easter theme with a twist (chocolate eggs are sooo last season haha). Habbos can expect a throwback to the Steampunk and Sunlight City furni lines with this one, which I know some Habbos are big fans of.
frogbiscuit: The theme is kind of like the second season of the Sunlight City campaign which was very exciting for me to work on - I’m a fairly new Habbo artist and wasn’t around back in 2019 but loved the aesthetic of the campaign, so it was truly wonderful to get to participate in this new version.
Can you explain how this theme came about and why it was chosen?
Sparkaro: We had been wanting to revisit the ‘Sunlight City’ campaign as it was an exciting one to work on. The aesthetics are something a lot of the designers are a fan of, combining plants and flowers with art nouveau-style city structures. We felt that there was a lot of potential to extend that line and it made sense to combine it with an easter theme.
Kukuyit: Using the Sunlight City line as inspiration, instead of giving more of the same things of the outside city, we wanted to focus inside and look at internal fixtures and fittings that Habbos can use to build rooms/futuristic homes.
frogbiscuit: For me, it was all about bunnies, plants and, most of all, the robots (which happen to be some of my favourite things to draw!). After a long winter, I think we all needed some light and good feels. Revisiting Sunlight City really gave us that.
This month’s theme touches on real-world issues concerning the planet we live on. How have your thoughts and observations informed this campaign?
Sparkaro: The threat of climate change is, of course, one of the largest issues we're facing in this day and age, especially when we see the effects of it more and more with freak weather events like earthquakes, flooding and extreme temperatures. We wanted to promote recycling and solar energy in the campaign, which are both just some of the important actions we can take in the fight against climate change. This also fits in well with the ‘solarpunk’ theme as we are looking towards the future of technology and nature living together in harmony.
Kukuyit: With the ever-changing world we live in, life is becoming more eco-friendly/eco-conscious so we wanted the new furni to reflect this while also spreading joy and awareness of sustainable living using upcycled materials.
frogbiscuit: I’m always trying to learn how to be more eco-friendly in my day-to-day life and this campaign certainly made me think about it even more. Hopefully, it has the same effect on Habbos and we can all try to be better friends to the beautiful nature around us.
What is your favourite item from this month and why? This doesn’t have to be an item you made!
Sparkaro: My favourite item is the Watering Bot! I love the design of it with its cute robot bunny ears.
Kukuyit: I'm all about the vibes and I think the Sunlight Skylight gives the best feeling of that golden hour sunshine. It’s simple yet effective.
frogbiscuit: The Watering Bot was my favourite to work on and I became quite attached to that little fella. I also really love the beautiful Solarpunk Hammock and all the other robot friends. Isn’t the Bunny Chia also the cutest thing ever!? And the elegant Bunny Archway. It’s so hard to choose just one!

Finally, what’s the main message you want Habbos to take away from this campaign?
Sparkaro: I hope you have fun and express yourself creatively with the new furni whilst promoting a positive, utopian world full of nature and cool-looking robots!
Kukuyit: Let's create and enjoy a nature-filled paradise together with robot carers!
frogbiscuit: These are challenging times but I hope this campaign brings a little bit of joy, sunlight and robot friends to everyone's lives!
