Habboween 2021: summon the Spirits of Japan!
WHOA so it’s Habboween already! It’s a great time to be in and around the Hotel for me and the rest of the Habbo team, probably just as much as you actually. We all love the vibes you bring and I’m looking forward to browsing the #Habboween hashtag this October.
Also, this furni line has been a lot of fun to design for the art team, and for non-artists like me to be a part of. The theme is fantastic and there’s literally been SO much to delve into. Let’s get into what’s on the way!
Earn badges and crafting ingredients!
This Habboween, the games we’ll be hosting are centred around several specific Japanese ‘yōkai’ and a ghostly princess who goes by the name of Nary (yōkai are a class of supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore). By completing the games, you'll earn both badges and a special crafting ingredient called Magatama.
Raise and purify Japanese yōkai
Using something we’ve called a Scroll Altar, there are four different spirits to summon and purify. You can get some of the ingredients from the Shop, and as we mentioned above you’ll need to earn the Magatama. Magatama is needed to conjure and purify the really impressive yōkai, so make sure to participate in all the games to get as much of this valuable resource as possible!
Check the below graphic to see what you need to summon and then purify each of the spirits:

The really cool stuff isn’t happening until next week but there’s a few bits and pieces happening before then, including an absolute mountain of classic Habboween furni. So keep an eye on the Hotel view *wink*
