“Hello there!” one of them says brightly. “First of all, please accept our apologies! We know how difficult the trek from that beach can be - particularly if you don’t come prepared. The mosquitos can be absolute hell on earth!” The scientist that spoke smiles at you and winks.
You cannot contain your anger any longer, “In the past couple of hours I’ve nearly died at least twice! I think you owe me more than a tiny little apology! Plus, mosquitos are most definitely the least of my worries!” Annoyingly, the scientist keeps smiling. “We’re 100% certain you’ll be glad you came, Habbo - helicopter crash or not. There are sights and sounds here that you can’t get from studying dig sites, fossils and books. Follow us, please!” The three of them turn around and get into a little Jeep, signaling for you to follow. Still fuming, you get into the Jeep, and you all speed off towards the research centre.
The research centre is big, but the scientists tell you that most of it is actually below the surface. You arrive at the entrance, and they take you down into one of the laboratories. The entire place is as clean as a whistle - your muddy boots are wreaking havoc on the squeaky clean floor. The scientists are so excited about showing you whatever they’ve got, they either haven’t noticed or they just don’t care.
You are getting more and more excited as you swing round a bend and approach a thick-looking door. The scientists gather round a little camera to the side and take it in turns to have their eyes scanned. This is so cool - you could be the lead role in a science fiction film! There’s a loud hiss as air escapes and you step into the room. The scientists’ grins are ridiculously large - even just looking at them makes you grin. And there - in the middle of the room inside two huge glass boxes - they are in all their glory. There’s a Pterosaur perched on a fake branch, and a Raptor looking at you with beady, predatory eyes. Suddenly, the helicopter crash seems like a distant memory.
You can’t believe it. Since you were six years old, all you’ve ever wanted was to be a paleontologist. And now, dear Habbo, you are meeting dinosaurs FACE TO FACE! This has got to be a WIN!
